OUR HISTORY

In October 2008, a few faithful souls met at Cracker Barrel for breakfast to move on God’s promise of establishing Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Augusta. January 2009 marked the beginning of a marvelous, God-blessed journey as we celebrated our first service held at Bel-Air Elementary School. In the spirit of the New Testament, families opened their homes for Bible study where we experienced true fellowship as we studied God’s Word. In March 2010, God blessed us with an additional location where we hosted bible study and several outreach initiatives while still conducting Sunday services at the school. God spoke again as our time at the school came to an end and we found ourselves in a little building where big things happened.

We watched our ministry expand to Nigeria where we were able to bring clean drinking water to desolate villages still recovering from the Nigerian Civil War that claimed the lives of many innocent families. We have been able to provide clothing, food, and sponsor children who couldn’t afford to attend grade school. We conducted our first-ever faith-based basketball camp where we reached over 120 kids and saw 27 families accept Jesus during the closeout ceremony. It is about your faith, commitment, dedication, tithing, and support of God’s vision that has allowed us to celebrate these great accomplishments through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Since 2015 we have been located at 2877 Lumpkin Road. While we have terrific memories of the “blue church” on Technology Drive, we are excited for what God is doing at this location in this season and we thank Him for what He has already done.

We were one of the only churches to remain open during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic. Under Pastor Glover’s leadership, we continued to baptize souls in the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. We are a church for the unchurched, the alienated, and the excommunicated.

OUR MISSION

At Lighthouse Christian Fellowship we trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to breathe life within us, allowing it to transform and renew our mind, body and soul into the image of Christ. We believe in the scriptures, as it is our blueprint to making us that good and faithful servant that God would have us to be. We are here to bring God's healing love to hurting people. To set free those who are slaves to sin via the snares of addictions, fears, anxieties and depression, by sharing wisdom and the knowledge of God. To bring good news to the poor, and deliver those who are bound up and broken-hearted. To preach peace, as Jesus did to the unchurched, the alienated, and the excommunicated.
